The Tantrum Solution: Temper Tantrums Are Optional

By Leanna Rae Scott

When I say that temper tantrums are optional, I mean temper tantrums are not guaranteed when raising children. Every possible tantrum is potentially preventable-even with ADHD children. Most parenting advisers, however, will tell you that all children throw tantrums.

This is categorically not true. I'm not, mind you, saying these self-designated expert parenting advisers are lying to you, either on purpose or otherwise - what I am saying is they obviously don't know - yet. I was one of the people who naively believed this falsehood for close to ten years of parenting before I was able to clue in and then found a way to personally prove it wrong.

My first five kids, as babies all were subject to throwing temper tantrums...my last eight did not. My fifth baby, by the age of fourteen months, was completely done with throwing temper tantrums within about a week or so after I knew what it was I had to change in my parenting methods. That was about thirty-four years ago. Throughout all those years, I informally studied the issue of infant anger management, and I came up with dozens of other insights about tantrums and child discipline to share with any other interested parents, for example, there are both Type One and Type Two tantrums. Also, while parenting kids non-stop for more than forty years, I developed many unique parenting concepts, including those for infant anger management, tantrum elimination and preventions, and effective discipline.

I finally finished raising my children and I completed my bachelor's degree in psychology and women's studies, as well as a Counseling Women Certificate. I've finished writing my first parenting book: MegaMom's Wisdom for Tantrums, The Tantrum Book To End All Tantrums. In the book I tell parents the "secrets" to the total prevention and elimination of temper tantrums. I am now ready to share my secrets for total prevention and total elimination of temper tantrums.

The universality of temper tantrums is an enduring myth. Tantrums are optional. Now parents have the ability to opt in to the temper-tantrum-free lifestyle.
