5 Ways To Save Money On Your Next Hair Salon Visit

Hair services can get expensive at times, especially when you are receiving services like hair color or hair extensions. There are a few ways to save money on your next hair treatment that most people don't know about. Here are 5 ways that you can save money on your next hair appointment.
Groupon
Groupon has deals on just about any type of hair service you can think of. Small business owner run specials on Groupon in order to attract new business to their salons. Most specials that are run on Groupon are not going to be specials that you will find anywhere else.
Newsletter Subscription
Some stylist will offer discounts for signing up to their newsletter. They also send information about specials and deals of the month they are running through email once you have a subscription. Sometimes they will run specials just for newsletter subscribers so being on these lists can save you extra money.
Facebook Check-in
A lot of salons are starting to give deals to people who check in on Facebook while they are receiving their services. These discounts are usually fairly small and no more than 5% off of your total service, but It does make a difference when you are paying in the hundreds for a service like hair extensions.
Referrals
Stylists love when you refer someone to them and most stylists have a referral program that gives you incentives for referring other clients. When these clients turn out to be paying customers, the stylist will then give you a discount on your next service.
Trade
It's quite regular to catch stylists trading services for food, work, marketing, equipment, etc. They need to save money just like everyone else and if they can save it by conducting a trade, they will most likely do it. If you offer any kind of services that might be beneficial to a stylist or a hair salon, ask them if they offer any services on trade. Some will and some won't but it's worth a shot if it means keeping dollars in your pocket.
If you're looking for a discount on your next hair service, you should try a couple of the methods mentioned above. If you're not shy and not too scared to ask questions, maybe try asking the stylist that is going to be performing your service, if they have any discounts or specials that you should know about before scheduling.
