Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park is believed to have the most pristine beaches in the world. It is a literal tropical paradise with boating, snorkeling the reef, fishing and bird-watching are only a few activities to include in your day. The Cocohatchee River is responsible for this place to hunt seashells, and there are beach wheelchairs available by calling ahead.

Away from the upscale Vanderbuilt Beach is lovely Clam Pass Park where visitors enjoy 35 acres of habitat and preserves accessed by a three-quarter-mile boardwalk to please any nature walkers. It runs through a Mangrove forest which serves as a breeding ground full of eddies and pools where marine life, wildlife and many species of birds are nursed into self-sustaining condition to support themselves.

If you hate traveling because it means leaving your canine family members at a kennel, then hate no more. The Black Island Trail Walk is not only dog friendly at Lovers Key State Park they can play and have fun with you, too. It makes the prefect place for animal lovers to go fishing, kayaking or cuddling as they are shuttled from the parking area that is 1000 feet from the beach.

RVers are known to frequent Lowdermilk Park where they find both unmetered and metered parking slips. There is a beach permit required but that only helps ensure the beaches stay clean and beautiful for many generations to come. It offers a pavilion for rent, two playgrounds, two gazebos, a concession stand, volley ball courts in the sand, and picnic tables for outdoor dining.
