How To Be Your Own Professional Organizer

By Young Lindsay

Whether you need organization skills for your home or for commercial purposes, it would be great if you can learn how to organize stuff. If you do that, then you might be able to aspire to become a San Diego professional organizer. If you want to organize your stuff to keep the house more spacious, then here are tips you can use.

The first thing that you will have to do is to organize a few task beforehand. You should accomplish the things you got to do on a daily basis the night before so that you can get most of the work you got to do completed. This will allow you to focus more on organizing and you will have a less frantic time with the work.

Keep your important mail and junk mail separate. To easily separate the important mail and junk mail, open them near the recycle bin. You can throw away the junk mail immediately and keep the important mail in the mail bin. This way, you do not have to waste time going over a pile of mail on the actual cleaning day.

Remember to note down the stuff that you have to do. If you do that, then you do not need to worry about missing anything during this day for organizing. It will also make you do the work in an efficient manner if you have the things you need to do written in a piece of paper.

It is fine to take the task of cleaning the house slowly but steadily. If you rush into it headlong, you might be overwhelmed by all the work and might not even start anything. If you do it slowly, you will be amazed by how much you have accomplished at the end.

It is also recommended for you to do things a little bit at a time in a day. You can set up your timer for thirty minutes to get a few cleaning done in one day. When the time is up, you can then proceed to your daily routine. You can even make this a game to spice things up a little bit in the house.

Another way to spice things up in the house is writing the tasks that should be done daily in index cards and having the family members pick out one. They will have to do the task written in the index card. Among the cards piled together, there should be one free day card thrown in.

It is important to set goals too. You should write your long term goals for this organizing task on a set of index cards. After that, you need to arrange them according to their importance. Of course, there should be a deadline written on top of the card.

You might be able to find things in the house that have remained unused for no less than six months. If you can find them, then you should learn how to let them go. You can either throw them away or send them as donations. If you do not do this, they will just be in the way later on especially during your spring cleaning day.
