Fighting Weight Loss Inspiration Fatigue for a Healthier, More Vibrant You


Losing weight isn't always just a challenge; sometimes it is a mountain that seems just about impossible to climb, and yet so many other people have accomplished just that. If you have attempted to lose weight in the past, you will most likely have found that you're inspired for the first couple of days, but then the inspiration quickly fades, only to be replaced by pizza and shame. The trick to accomplishing this feat is to make sure that you stay motivated and inspired, and this is only possible when you fight the inspiration fatigue that usually rears its ugly head a few days into the diet.
Set Realistic Goals
Trying to reach unrealistic goals is one of the biggest reasons why people tend to fail when they start a new diet. If you assume that you'll lose ten pounds each week, you are setting yourself up for failure and starvation. Start off with something simple, such as a couple of pounds in two weeks, and when you reach your goal, make sure that you note this accomplishment. From there, continue setting goals, even if they are small and simple; with every accomplishment, you'll feel more inspired to continue.
Get Support
There are many people out there who are trying their best to lose weight, so make sure that you remember you are not alone. When you have a team of people spurring you on, you'll be more likely to set your goals and stick to them, and when you're having a bad day, you can turn to them for guidance and support. Another great thing about having support is that it gives other people the chance to praise you for accomplishing your goals; something that can feel so great you'll be chasing this feeling throughout your diet.

Most people don't accomplish much with negative reinforcement, so don't berate and insult yourself if you happen to fall off the wagon. You need to make sure that you show yourself positive support throughout the entire experience, so that it becomes a positive and enjoyable one.
