Taking Art Classes At A Paint And Wine Studio

By Essie Osborn

There are so many people who love to dabble in drawing and painting. They may also be seeking a social outlet where they can meet new people and make new friends as well as relax and let their creative inner child loose. Attending a scheduled class at a paint and wine studio in the Denver, Colorado area may be just what they are looking for. This city is well known for its cultural offerings and diverse population and is the perfect area for activities such as these.

These businesses have set class periods where either groups of people or several individuals sign up to take art lessons. Sometimes there is a specific piece that is pre-selected to paint while other venues may give more freedom in allowing the customers to choose their own subject matter. Art supplies such as canvas, brushes, and paint are provided. An instructor is on hand to give directions and assist would-be artists throughout the entire event. A calendar of events is usually available on the company website along with all the rules and amenities provided at each visit.

Customers just want to enjoy themselves while creating their works of art and socializing with friends or co-workers. Wine is served and communications between customers is encouraged. The beverages are either sold by the business or customers are allowed or asked to bring their own. Food items can be brought in as well. Sometimes snack items or crackers and cheese as well as bottled water is offered to attendees.

A wine tasting can be formed around the activities. Guests can each bring their favorite vintage and everyone can sample each other's selections. This can be very relaxing before an art session and individuals will lose some of their self-consciousness before they begin working on their projects.

Some of these businesses even allow children to attend but there usually is an age requirement. Children's groups may be offered as a separate activity on a weekend morning or at a late afternoon event. It is a wonderful activity for church youth groups or an extension of a high school art class.

It is also a great place to hold a private party. Some suggested functions include mixers, birthday parties, corporate gatherings, a singles' night or girls' night out or even a bachelorette party. Purchase gift certificates as presents for your artsy friends and relatives.

Many instructors are even open to having an event off-site. The gathering can be held at a company, a private home or a party venue for a one-of-a-kind activity for a birthday party, anniversary or company party. Hours of entertainment will be provided to guests in a location that they are familiar with or has other activities involved.

If you are tired of hanging out at clubs, being a workaholic or just sitting at home by yourself, consider attending one of these fun and entertaining events. You will be able to unwind, learn new art techniques and meet like-minded individuals. Even if it requires some thinking out-of-the-box, take the first step in taking on a new hobby and making new friends.
