Cat Water Fountain

By Angelina MacApanas

Cat Water Fountains come in some very cool varieties. We all know that cats aren't big fans of water and they certainly don't like to get wet but for some reason they love these water dispensers. They are quite mesmerized by running water which makes water fountains very helpful in keeping your cat hydrated. This is truly a great creation that brings the best of both worlds to your cat by keeping them interested and hydrated all at once.

What is the basic premise of pet water fountains? First of all they have moving water which typically falls down like a stream into another bowl below. The water is also filtered before it comes back into the bowl making it taste better and healthier for your pet. The sound of the water falling seems to be mesmerizing to pets making them curious to visit the water fountain to take a drink. We have seen this with cats before as they become very curious and are found to be pawing at the falling water stream.

These types of pet watering devices come in various shapes and sizes to fit multiple pets, big pets, small...ered water fountain that has a couple of drinking reservoirs where multiple pets can drink water at the same time. You have 360 degree fountains that can also fit multiple drinkers. These types of fountains are great if you have more than one pet.

Last but not least we have the Pioneer Feng Shiu Cats Water Fountain. This has a very cool design in the shape of a yin yang symbol. The design of this water fountain fits into almost any house decor and it has a replaceable charcoal filter for clean, pure healthy water. The unit is dishwasher safe and has a 60 oz capacity.

The Pioneer Ceramic Pet Drinking Fountain is also a great watering device for cats. Water is filtered in the base of the bowl then drawn up to the top and then shoots out the top in a gentle stream. This is also a great watering device if you don't like using plastic. It has that nice black glossy design that really fits well with any decor. You can also clean it right in the dishwasher, no problem. All in all there are some really great cat water devices out there. It's just a matter of deciding which one will suit your specific needs. Does it go with the home decor? How many cats you have will also be a deciding factor on what to purchase.
