Sometimes you will be forced to take leave from your work place to monitor the painting work in your compound. Because of this, you will greatly benefit from a contractor who can finish the job within the shortest time possible. Ask your potential painters how long it will take them to complete the job and choose one with reasonable time frame.

Before letting any painting crew into your compound, you must also confirm that they have both personal injury cover as well as liability insurance. Painting is usually a very risky business especially if it involves climbing on the roof top. In you decide to work with a contractor who is not insured, it will be assumed that you are responsible for any injuries they may suffer while working in your compound.

You must also get everything in writing before the contractor commence on the work. Make a payment plan but you should not pay more than a third for the deposit. Only pay the contractor up to work that has been completed.
