These bugs are parasitic in nature that belongs to cimicid family. These parasites as their name suggest feed only on blood. The specific parasite that survives entirely on blood from human beings is called Cimex lectularius. This parasite can actually suck significant amount of blood from an average human. Bed bug detection providence should be done at an early stage to take precaution and control measures in advance.

If an individual suspects that they might be having this parasite in their homestead, they are advised to take detection measures early enough and establish if truly there are any. Locating them in advance is recommendable since they can be controlled and prevented to spread to other places. Taking minor infestation very serious and controlling it is said to be cheap and easy way of killing them as compared to controlling the infestation when it has become more widespread.

When necessary measures are taken to control such parasites in advance, the cost of fighting them is significantly lowered as well as process of killing them all becomes much easier. Waiting for cimex lectularius to bleed and multiply in your house is a serious mistake. Start finding ways of killing them as soon as the first three to four bugs are seen.

Dark spots are prove enough of physical presence of bugs. Those red stains are mostly your blood. These dark spot could probably a variety of things such as dried blood, dead bugs, eggs, shed skin and feces. Do not limit your inspection to only the top sheets, also look at the mattress edges and cracks found on your bed. If you probably do not see any signs of them here, try and remove the mattress and examine carefully the bed box spring.

The most reliable way for identifying and confirming bed bug presence in your home is by physically seeing them or seeing their physical signs. It is recommendable for a person to be vigilant when cleaning, dusting and changing bedding to watch out for certain physical signs. These sign are visible only when one is keen and close enough to them.

But the process of detecting parasites is not that easy since these bed bugs are quite small or tiny in size making them invisible. They can hide in very tiny cracks of your bed or crevices. The real evidence of an infestation is found mostly on mattresses and on bedding. When these parasites are live they usually leave a trail of brown spots and other black spot. They also have a very distinctive musty odor.

The other sign is accidentally seeing live bed bug. Those wondering where the parasite probably hide, here is their answer. When these irritating parasites are not feeding, they like to hide in all sorts of place but the most likely place for them to hide is the bed. They are also found along piping seams, mattress tags and in some instances in box spring hiding.

Other common places to also hide are in cracked bed frame, hanged mosquito nets and headboards. When a room is considered to be heavily infested, bedbugs can easily be found in, chair seams and couches, in the cushions and curtain folds. Check the drawer joints, screw headers, at the point where ceiling and wall meet, on wall hangings and in electrical appliances. They are tiny insects which can fit into tiny holes.
